So recently when there was a car accident outside our house I saw it as an opportunity to show the kids exactly why wearing a seatbelt is so important.
When we first got there Kenzie said "WOW this is so freaking cool!"
Then they really saw what was in front of them. One of the cars involved was right in front of us, the side facing us had a door missing. They then saw the door a little way down the street.
We talked about how if the people in that car hadn't been wearing their seat belts that they would have flown out of the car.
We haven't had a problem with seat belts ever since! :)
